This blade has a hardness of 65\/67 HRC and measures 165mm. The octagonal handle is made of rosewood.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe blade is finished according to the process called Kuro-uchi, which in Japanese literally means \"black coat\", meaning the blade is not polished but is left with the dark patina to protect the blade and give it a traditional Japanese rustic look.
